A
“new”
way to learn writing online or at home by correspondence |
|
Home study—although
established at Yale and the University of Chicago 100 years ago to
make higher education more widely accessible—is
today’s “new”
way of learning.
It’s
now called
“distance
education.”
It has the flexibility that is needed in this fast-paced society. It
enables you to learn at your own rate of progress, in your own home
or when you travel,
when you have the time. |
|
For ambitious people
with tight schedules, this is the new way to develop skills. It’s
the way nearly 7,000,000 adults are learning right now!*
Writing is an ideal
subject for distance education because the process is similar to the
traditional author-editor relationship: Manuscripts are submitted
online or by mail
for review, comment, critique, and editorial direction, and then
returned to the writer for revision and rewriting.
The men and women who
created Breaking into Print are all thoroughgoing
professionals, each with more than 35 years of successful writing,
editing, and teaching experience—online, in classrooms, at
writing workshops and
conferences, and by correspondence learning.
Of these various
techniques, online and correspondence study is the most effective way for today’s adults
to learn how to write for publication. It offers you maximum
flexibility and gives you full access to the professional skills of
exceptional instructors on your schedule, in the comfort and privacy
of your own home. |
